Panaji the Capital of Goa

Panaji (sometimes pronounced Panjim or Panajim), the capital of Goa and the third largest city in the state, situated on the southern banks of the Mandovi River, adding so much more to the natural charm of this untypical Goan city.

Although you can completely bypass Panaji Goa, either by jumping off the train at Margao or Mapusa or by heading straight off somewhere on a local bus, it is still worth spending time here, at least once.
